about

Meditations on the Inescapable Self was intended as the audio component of a larger project. A two-disc CD-R version was prepared for release in March 1999, but, apart from a review copy or two, was never actually issued.

This 2014 edition revisits the CD-R project, revising a couple of the pieces, removing a couple of the previously released tracks, and adding a couple of newly created alternates.

Purchase of the complete album includes the originally planned 1999 release as bonus tracks (except for the original version of "Meditation one", the background of which contains radio broadcast material that I don't have the rights to), plus a six-page PDF booklet with track listings and liner notes, and the 2007 video made for 'The nature of silence'.

Fabricating sounds since 1987. Unafraid to rush headlong into obscurity for the sake of art and making sense out of the world. Folds, spindles, and mutilates as needed. Brickwalling not allowed.
