Solidly in the improvisation/noise camp, Sublimation was recorded in October 1995, with the entirety of side B (tracks 3 through 8 of this edition) recorded in a burst of activity over the course of a single day.
A 1999 edition and a 2006 '10th anniversary' edition both restored 'Dreamslip' to its full length; both were scrapped because the resulting running order no longer worked. However, the 2006 edition was eventually made available for download via the now-defunct social media site Multiply.
This digital download edition replicates the running order from the original cassette, and adds the unabridged version of 'Dreamslip' as an extra track.
